I don’t know what this device is actually called but it must be damn expensive. The video has been uploaded to show the present developments in the field of devices for those who cant speak.

What I think is the person should at least know how to speak; so the air coming out of the neck could be transformed into voice by the “stick” which he is holding & tapping the keys. A hole in his neck is shown in the movie; so I guess it is necessary for this device to work.

Sia; on the other hand doesn’t requires any holes to be drilled anywhere & even a person hard of hearing or totally deaf might also use Sia with compliance to their sign language script.

According to the WHO report, out of 256,690 people with health problems in Zambia in year 2002, 6.2% fall in deaf/dumb category.

According to a news published on October 19, 1884 in The New York Times; the total number of deaf/dumbs in the world ranges 700,000 to 900,000; that was a century ago; the present number would be much greater than this.
